Lansing Michigan line LAN
the 400000 number is the body number which I think is all A bodies down that line that year.
48 T is a paint code, it means Sequoia Green Metallic and covert beige ragtop
979 is Saddle colored vinyl interior
05D is 4th week of May
A51 is strato buckets
Probably a sharp looking car.
Edit: It's worth pointing out that nothing on a cowl tag in 72 indicates presence of 442 or W-30 options.

The key thing to look for is the X in the fifth position of the VIN which denotes the presence of the 300 HP W-30 option definitively and by extension the W-29 (4-4-2) as the W-30 was only available in 4-4-2s (and H/Os).
