RADIATOR SHROUD AND RADIATOR INSULATORS:
1966-67 Fan Shroud is a fiberglass reproduction
from an outside source we consider a fair reproduction. The 1966-67 shroud was an option and was not installed on
all cars. Shroud brackets are necessary to mount the shroud on cars that were not factory equipped. Brackets are
not available. The 1968-70 Shroud is GM original, with limited supply. The 1971-72 shroud is our new reproduction
and can be used on 1968-70 models, only difference is a larger fan opening. Rubber Insulators are used
between the radiator support and radiator for 1966-72 All Models.

Keep in mind that the fan shroud for the '68 is slightly different than the one for '69-'72. The '69-'72 fan shroud is being used as a replacement for the '68 fan shroud (it fits and works fine). The difference comes in how the upper radiator hose is attached to the fan shrould. In '68, the upper hose bracket attached directly to the upper radiator support plate. For '69-'72, the hose bracket attaches to the shroud.

After Market Shroud Fit/Quality?
Is the PartsPlace.com fan shroud CS1641T any good as to fit function? Anyone get one and discover quality/strength issues?
Price is considerably less than typical and considering getting something from someone unless I'm able to find functional original.
Thanks for any info/ideas,
Patrick

reason they are more expensive a year in itself, and as mentioned not being re-popped.
Have a few if you want to go the purist route but re-pop version will fit as well

yes, the fairly common '295 shroud will work on your '68
but they will scoff at the car shows, as they are inclined to do.
The '68 shroud lacks the exterior or aft side stiffening ribs, easy to spot.
Mr. Franco, I have a '68 that may need a shroud. Still trying to make SURE whether the W30 was supposed to come with one.

Apparently I don't know your car(s) that well because I only thought you had the 68 convertible W30. I didn't know you had two W30's
