need tire solution 69 442

went with 275 60 15 Miky Thompson Street E Ts on rear & 245 on the front ... had to roll the lip on the rear fender wells and trim the stainless to fit the 275s ... just finishing up a 69 442 convertible ... about 500/500 ... want to keep wheel wells stock ... have 12 bolt with 3:42 gears, TH400 ... looking for a good tire for everyday street use, of course I do not go out in the rain, (it never rains in California) ... does anyone care to share their war stories about solving traction/safety/ride quality??? Who thinks they finally got the right tire & wheel combo??? What did u do?
Thanks in advance for your input ... Bob Lynch

Insted of lead additives, try lead remover [from your foot]

But yes they bite well.

Wow! 275/60-16. That's a huge tire. I don't know about the Mickey's. I couldn't find a tire that size on their site. All I know is that is going to be a huge diameter tire. I did find a 225/60-16 and it had a diameter of 27.1. a 235/60-15 has a diameter of 26.1. Personally, I wouldn't want to get any larger than that. 68's and 69's have an issue with the wheel wells. If you get too big and don't lift the car, when you turn the tire will catch the wheel opening molding and bend the $**#!! out of it. The earlier and later models don't have near as much issue with this. Be careful, and check those clearances. Happy hunting for rubber.

275 60 15 is about 28 inches in diamter or a 2356015 is about 26. I was thinking of running the 275 60 15 because a buddy gave me a couple for the back I'll post a pic if I get them on.
