Gear Vendors overdrive unit in my 65??

I've been searching around for install pics of a GV overdrive unit in a 64/65 a-body. I might be mistaken, but I thought years ago I had read an article about the trans tunnel being too tight for the GV unit. Do we have any members here running this set up? Any help would be great guys. Thanks in advance.

I thought about that swap too, but I'm building the 64 post with a " built" 200R4.

I wanted to do this with my TH400 in my 66 Cutlass. Looking at the photo it doesn't look much larger than the tail shaft end. It's clearly larger but not by much. I've heard that slight massaging is sometimes needed on the tunnel to make it clear in some cases. Nothing a three pound hammer can't fix.

I have one in the mail I have read that it is the sixe of a coffe can. I have read that one can touch the tunnel or make a drop mount cross member to
give you more room and a better drive shaft angle. Was thinking of putting a few washers under the body mount and get some needed space for it too?

I think the GV unit will be the plan come tax return time. It is an expensive solution, but the 400 in the car now is a nicely built unit that should be reliable for many years to come. And if there is a problem down the road I will only be building another 400 and not an expensive 2004r. I can't even seem to find a pic of a GV unit in a 65 Chevelle.
