Holley 3310 or 4777?
I want to bolt a holley carb onto my holley street dominator manifold and I was wondering which of these two would you guys recommend? It looks like a square bore carb will bolt right up to it. I was going to rebuild and use the 4165 spread bore double pumper, but depending on how that goes, I may buy a rebuilt version of one of the two listed above just based on good things I've heard of both of those. One is 750cfm vacuum 4160 carb and the 4777 is the 650cfm double pumper 4150 carb. It will be mostly for street use but doesn't mean I won't wander over to the strip every now and then. It's not by any means a daily driver. It's a 350 sbo with a mild cam, headers, full dual exhaust, and soon to have the holley sd manifold.

A vacume secondary carb is much more forgiving making it better for more than just a couple engines. Double pumpers have to be more spot on. The 3310 can be modified to perform very well, despite what's-his-face says over on ROP.

Well that settles it then. 3310 carb, manual choke, here I come. I'm gonna try to rebuild this 4165 double pumper first and then try it out and then depending on how it runs, I will probably get a 3310.
