Broken Dip Stick Removal

Broken Dip Stick Removal
Hey all! I have recently run into a problem where my oil dipstick tube has broken off flush at the block.
I was wondering what your ideas would be to remove this? I was thinking of either tapping into the remaining piece of the tube and then threading/prying on the head. That, or drilling a screw into there and doing the same thing.
I don't really want to remove the pan, as I believe I would have to get around the cross member by removing the engine itself, or undoing motor mounts.
Also, if anyone has replacement dipstick reccomendations, I would love to hear!
Any ideas would be helpfuk, thanks!

What year and what engine do you have? There are several different guide tubes depending on engine, year, and possibly model of vehicle...

Yes, you're right my apologies! I have a 1972 Cutlass Supreme, 350 Rocket.

The chrome replacements fit loosely in the block and the end needs ground to clear. A self tapping screw and vice grips always work for me. I always break one installing headers.
