64 330 hub wobble

I've got a 64 330 has hub with kj and kn pulleys. Belts off motor running they don't touch but as soon as I put both belts on I can hear and see where they barley kiss. I'm not positive but from what I can see I wanna say I can see a wobble. My pumps new and feels fine. With the motor on I can spin the waterpump kn pulley and it don't touch. I bought this motor and was just rebuilt by the person I got it from but it came without pulleys and I had to match the pulleys to fit my 72 cutlass supreme. I think all my pulleys are lined up fairly close now so I'm good. I do not have a crank pulley washer on I noticed but still not sure if that's what my problem is. I will check to see if they tightend the crank bolt I believe it's 1 1/8. Some advice here guys,

It's a little hard to follow what you're saying but the first thing I'd check is your damper/harmonic balancer. It's possible the rubber between the inner and outer rings is deteriorating or damaged from an improper removal of the damper in the past. If that's the case, rebuild it. I've used Damper Dudes in California and have been extremely satisfied with cost and turnaround time.

If you get a hold of a dial indicator you may be able to see which pulley, shaft or the hub itself is causing the runout. You could also try repositioning the clocking/indexing of each pulley where it mounts. This shouldn't be necessary but may solve the issue.

Is there enough play in the water pump mounting to loosen the bolts, move it upward and re-torque?

Good luck!!!

How about a couple of pictures. As far as I know a 330 should have a damper. But the center part of the damper where the pulleys bolt on still should not "wobble" unless it is bent.

The damper bolt should be torqued to 100 ft lbs.

I would suspect a bent pully.

The no damper was discussed last month. https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...lancer-161852/
