Looking for Transmission Slip Yoke for TH350 (72 Cutlass)
27 Splines.
I measured it to be 4 3/4"
The one OPGI sells (and is not in stock this week) they have listed at 4.875"
http://www.opgi.com/cutlass/1972/dri...yokes/C240117/
However, it has Outside Snap Rings.
Mine (original to the car) clearly has Inside Snap Rings (see attached image)
Confused and in need of a part....

I went and looked I don't have one that long either. The longest I have is 4 1/4. Just an FYI the outside clip yoke is for Chevy inside clip is other GM cars. There is a u joint made that is inside clip on one side and outside clip on the other.

So do you mean the one that OPGI sells (back in stock today, it seems) is meant for Chevy, is the correct length, but I would need an adaptor u-joint?

If your driveline has the inside clip type u joint. (factory that was a injected plastic clip) and the yoke they sell is an outside clip like Chevy used then yes you will need the hybrid Ujoint.

I have a similar issue on my 69 Cutlass TH350 slip yoke. It measures 5.00 inches from the center of the cup to the end of the yoke, and it is the inside c clips. I have checked everywhere and am told they no longer make any that length. I found one that is 5 1/2 inches long and was told that is could be cut down. Has anyone ever had one cut down, or does anyone know of anyone that sells the correct length?

Head to your nearest salvage yard. The 4L60 and 2004R, and most RWD manual transmissions use the same 27 spline yoke. Maybe one of them use the correct length. And even if they don’t, as long as the spline engagement is the same, I don’t see why you couldn’t cut one to the correct length. Deburr the cut edges, make sure it moves freely on the output shaft, should work. The get some U-joints that fit the yoke. I think all the replacements joints have grooves for clips inside the yoke.
