Does Anyone Make An Header Back Exhaust Kit That Fits?

Does anyone make a header back exhaust kit that actually fits. Just looking for standard duals no X or H pipe. Need 2 1/2” all the way back. I have tried the Pypes kit and I have tried the Jegs kit and wasn’t happy with the fit of either kit. Or is the only good option is to have a muffler shop put on a custom exhaust.

Thanks!

What was wrong with the Pypes kit?

They will likely all need some tweaking, since not all header collectors/flanges are in the same location.

No matter what I tried with the Pypes kit I could not get the tail pipes lined up straight where they pass through the bumper cut outs. They came out of the bumper cut outs at a crazy angle. Would have not looked nice with exhaust tips.

TJohn - Just a thought: My Pypes kit came with incorrect mounting brackets for the rear frame rails. I had the same symptom as you, the pipes would NOT line up with the cut-outs. When I got the correct brackets everything lined up perfectly - as if the Stars, the Planets, and the Universe were in alignment! Check out this thread:

Nice. I heard it was acid etched. Hard to get off. Why do they gotta do that. Like filing off the edelbrock on their intakes.
