68 cutlass flywheel/starter

68 cutlass flywheel/starter

i am putting together my 68 cutlass 4 speed muncie transmission and dont have the original flywheel all research says 166 tooth flywheel goes in it but with aluminum bellhousing starter doesent fit it hits flywheel anyone else run into this problem?

The starter bolts to the block, so the bellhousing is irrelevant. Post a photo of the block and starter. 166 is correct for an Oldsmobile engine flywheel.

If you do not have the correct Oldsmobile flywheel, I just happen to have an NOS flywheel in the box. If you are located close enough to Red Oak Tx, to pick it up, I will take $200. Will not ship.
