I didn't say more reliable, I said easier. IMHO, if you want the most reliable engine Oldsmobile ever used you'd have to transplant a 3.8l Series II.

Coworkers of mine do LS swaps on the side and it's pretty good money. Not unreasonable either. You'd easily spend more having a 303 machined and reassembled properly.

Why would you have to re-machine a 303 ?
