Potentially Big Day
Hello everyone. I've enjoyed reading the posts to this forum, and this is my first (and hopefully not last) entry. Later today I'm going to look at a 1970 Cutlass Supreme convertible, 4 speed, 350, numbers matching. Is there anything particular to this model & year that needs extra consideration? Naturally I will be mindful of typical rust spots and the more obvious mechanical issues. But certainly I would appreciate commentary from those that have so much more experience than me. Many thanks.

Welcome to CO. Take pictures of the car and share them with us, we will try to give you an honest and fair evaluation of the car (as best as possible over the internet). Look for rust in the bottoms of the front fenders. We hope to be seeing some pictures soon!

Greetings.
While inspecting the car check out the rubber weatherstripping on the convertible top. If cracking and dry then it probably needs to be replaced soon. You can use this for bargaining power. Also, see if the interior courtesy lights work (+ the maplight on the rear view mirror). This might indicate bad bulbs, fuses, or wiring problems.
