New Olds Loving Chick Here...
Hello all! I joined this forum because I am a die-hard Olds fan. Growing up my dad owned a 71 Cutlass Supreme and a 72 Cutlass sport. I loved them and helped him work on them and rebuild the engine in the 72. When I was 18 I was given the 72 and loved it more than I can say. However bad circumstances led me to losing it and I have been looking for it ever since. A year after I lost it my father passed away so I cannot tell you how much I would love to find that car... As of now I do not have any Oldsmobile's but I will soon I hope.
I hope I didn't babble on too much. lol

Welcome to the site SadieMae!
How long ago did you lose the '72? Where was it last known to be (city/state)? I'm sure many folks on here would like to help you find it.
Good luck with your search!

Welcome! In the short time I've been a member I have learned a great deal about the car I love. I was also able to get some hard to find parts from fellow members. Anyway, our going to love reading the threads and seeing the pictures of everyones fabulous rides.
Also: Now is the time to buy, there are some great deals out there.

Thank You for all the replies. I love this site!
I lost the car in 2004 in Fort Pierce Florida... I am looking for a simmiliar car that I can make my own. I have been looking through the sale section and there are some good deals, so hopefully I can find myself another "Girl" again.

You're not likely ever going to find the same car again unless it went to a restorer/collector so I hope you can find one that floats your boat.
Welcome aboard. As you can see there are a few of use very partial to the 72 including myself. I lost my 72 in 77 and the guy who bought it trashed the hell out of it. It was better for me not to watch....because he wouldn't sell it back. Fortunately my Dad gave my younger bro the 72 I now own so there's some extra sentimental attachment through it to the family and my Dad. I'll never let this one go (well unless someone offers stupid $$$ I guess)
What series of car was it?

Welcome to the site good luck finding your ride... Just morth of you in Vero. There are others from this site close by as well and can help point you in the right direction. My 72 convertible is actually having parts going on, instead of coming off! mostly!

Wow, ya I'm by north beach in Fort Pierce but I grew up in Vero. I would love any info anyone can give me on where to look... Or clue me in on any cars available in FL. I have found a few beauties but they are across the country and financially I dont think that would be possible.

I presume you are looking for a driver, not a fixer-upper.
Can you do any sort of fixer upper work yourself? What's your budget?
Many folks would MUCH rather sell to a person such as yourself than to a "yute" with plans to put 22" donk wheels on it.
Oh, and if you find a real pretty one for dirt cheap, and "you need not worry about the shipping because my friend owes me a car transport" and the payment is not in person when you get the car.... avoid! Dang scammers.
442.com has ads, realoldspower.com, and the old paper club newsletter Journey With Olds still comes out once in a while. Ebay, craigslist, etc.

Welcome!!!
The folks here are eager to help with just about everything, from diagnosing problems to looking for cars and parts for each other. Don't feel embarrassed about the so-called babbling or asking any type of question. I have a certain "soft spot" for '72s also, (and '69s, and '70s, and'65s).
Good luck in your search as keep us posted on what you find.

Ive been crazy busy so I haven't been on for awhile. Very true about a bus ticket and gas $. That's what i am probably gonna end up doing. I am really open to a car I can fix up myself. I know how to do most engine work and simple interior things. But I am willing to learn to do it all. I don't have much of a budget just yet, Just a few thousand, so I don't think I can get much yet. But I can hope and dream.
