67 Delmont wFinal Clear Coats
#3
Thanks Eric!
It was going to be a really bright red (solid color) until I saw the new Harley metal flakes. Funny you should mention the seventies--that (~1977) was the last metal flake job my father-in-law did at his body shop. This was done with a Flake Buster which is kind of neat--you apply your base coat then clear coat and this gizmo shoots on metal flakes like snow. There is 100% coverage of flake (or really near 100%). Then you clear the s&%# out of it (stopping after about 3 coats on the metal flake, let it cure, wet sand and then more clear). There is at least 3 gallons of clear on the car so far!
What is old becomes new... kind of.
