Cutlass 4dr Hardtop Headliner
Getting ready to order my headliner - haven't decided on who is better OPG or year one, but they are the only two supplying a headliner for a 4dr hardtop. Anyways, how hard is it to replace the headliners on these (1966) ? If have replaced it and were going to do it again would you have an auto upholstery shop do it or you? Just curious because the wife and I have never ripped one out of a car this old and don't know how much involved it would be. The sail panels and the rear shelf look pretty easy but not sure about the headliner.
Any thoughts?
Ohh the reason for replacement is because of mold. The gentleman we bought the car from decided just to goop and keep sealing the windshield reveal molding rather that actually fixing the window leaks. Surprisingly nothing rotted, the old guy just decided to stop washing the car and not to drive it in the rain when he couldn't get the leak to stop. He said the car hasn't been washed in 20 years, if you can believe that.
