Linda Vaughn at the 2023 H/O Nationals?

Does anyone know if Linda Vaughn will be going to the 2023 Nationals? I know she is slated to be at a show in Dalton, GA on Thursday 7/26, so it would seem that possibly the only way she could make it to Gettysburg would be to fly there (?) since both shows are the same weekend.

I think she is originally from Dalton, Georgia. Sorry I don't know anything about her schedule.

As far as I know, as of now there are not plans to have her appear at the 2023 H/O Nationals.

There are no plans to have Linda there, or Nikki Phillips.

She'll be at a Dalton, Ga show that entire weekend at the Dalton Convention Center, Georgia Moonshine Show. I'll be scoping this out, it may just be a decent site for a future OCA Nationals, it's right off I-75, exit 333.

Due to the logistics I'll be bailing on the Hurst Olds Nationals this year but I've signed up for this Dalton Show and I'll be bringing my 79 H/O in the hope I can get Linda to sign a few items.

We just moved to Georgia three weeks ago, this is right up the road for us. Should probably take the H/O!

From what I understand, one needs three things to pull off an H/OCA nationals.
1. Good hotel.
2. Some big thing to do with the cars on Friday.
3. Second fun thing for later Friday.

So, if one can find a good hotel and a racetrack within easy drive, you've got it made. This year at Gettysburg, it's a civil war tour and then a car museum, so it will be interesting to see how that goes over. Next year is decided, but proposals are always welcome for the years beyond. I think a proposal has to be researched and submitted by November that is 20 months prior to the July of the year planned.

The rules are the next year gets announced at the current year's meeting, which is here in 3 weeks. But, every five years, there is a meet at the same place, been that way for 30 years, it seems.

So only 5 locations around the country? Seems there have been more, but I could be confusing it with the OCA meets

No, there's a bunch of locations. But, every particular five years, we always seem to be at the same place. 2004, 2009, 2014, 2019, and probably 2024.

Gettysburg is too far for mine, but I REALLY want to make sure it goes to next year's location.

Will do 69 Hurst, I'll have my 79 H/O in the Preferred Parking (whatever that means) outside. Congrats on getting it inside, there was limited space there. I'm coming in from McCormick, SC on Tuesday so we can make that cruise on Wednesday at 1:30pm. Car will be trailered as there's no way I'm subjecting it to weekday metro Atlanta traffic in 100 degree weather.
Odds are we will be the only 2 H/O's of any year at this show, would sure like to see more of them but most went up north to the Nats I bet.

Agreed. We wanted to head up to PA but couldn't swing it. I did take the car to Indy back in 2019 and it was amazing!

This was one great show, and NO rain the entire time! We sat ourselves with some great people around some great looking cars. This event is now a must attend event to be put on our calendars each year. I think the most interesting Olds was a white 62 wagon with giant wheels and a very huge motor stuffed into it.
Among my favorite cars of the show was 69 Hurst's car and the 74 Hurst that was also inside the building, topped off with the blue 69 Cutlass Convertible with matching blue Rally SS3 wheels.

And I stayed away from the moonshine, don't need that foghat the next day.

A very well done cruise in show, kudos to the folks that made it all happen!
