started pulling 300 amps?!
While I'm waiting g on my carb calibration kit to come in the mail I need help I had a starting and electrical systems test done the other week back and my starter is pulling 300 amps to start everything else is perfect but this isn't good for the starter or battery how can I correct this

She never told me she just said on startup so I'm assuming that'd the only time its pulling that much and MD I have around 9.5.1 compression and 10w30 but on that note I notice while cruising it is 25 to 40psi but when ideling the psi shoots up to 50 to 55 psi is that normal

As for the current, 300A doesn't sound out of line to me (I think 150-300 is in the general ballpark).
Why did the person testing it say it was high?

Staff change at my favorite parts store so its all full of newbies and idk she just said it was high.....about the oil don't say weird I don't need to hear that right now its been problem after problem please no more problems lol

300amps is not out of the question for a starter. If it starts fine and you don't see smoke, your good to go.
Remember all electrical components are made of smoke, when they crack apart and let the smoke out, there no good any more.
Is your oil pressure gauge mechanical or electrical Bill?

No smoke an using mechanical gauge and when. I crank up got about 50 to 55 when it accelerates it rises and drops with the transmission shift pattern but it ultimately cruises at 25 to 40 an 50 to 55 at idle I'm thinking k and oil flush and oil treatment

Get rid of that plastic tubing too and go with copper. You'll need to put a vibration loop in the copper tubing too, to allow for engine vibration.
That pressure reading is weird. Could be a bad gage but a mechanical oil pressure gage is pretty simple, not much to go wrong.
The Lucas stabilizer treatment is about as good as there is but if the engine is quiet and not using much oil, I'd stick with 10W30, no additives.

You will hear pinging. Typically if you give the car some right foot at low revs you will hear a diesel type rattle under the hood. If you can hear it you need to address the problem, it can do serious damage to your engine.
It could be as simple as using higher octane fuel, or retarding the ignition a little, but if the engine is pinging fix it or it will cost you in the long term.
A spike of 300 amps when the starter engages is normal, electric motors are at peak torque when stalled, in other words draw most current getting moving.
I'm as baffled as anyone by your weird oil pressure readings, particularly as you haven't mentioned any other problems with the engine.
Roger.
