Non-Oldsmobile Supercharger related Question
Hello All,
I have a non-Oldsmobile related question and seeing as how you all know far more about cars in general than any other place on the web, I thought Ide ask. My Brother has a 400 Small Block Chevy and is looking for a super charger. He found a B&M 112 Originally built for a Naturally aspirated Buick V6 but has an adapter plate to mount on to any Intake. The Engine is built for 1500-6500 RPM (Intake, Cam, Carb) with Vortec Heads. Would this super charger be of any benefit. In the ad it says for a V6 or small V8. Does a 400 count as a small V8? Thanks, return to your oldsmobile related discussions.

If he is looking for more performance i would say its too small, even a 144 i feel would be a bit small. They say that gains with these small street blowers are lessened with more mods to the engine. Supposedly you see more gains/boost with stock headed engines vs aftermarket heads that flow well. If he just wants looks then it'd work but thats just my opinion. for a 400ci with aftermarket heads id look for a 174 if he specifically wants a street blower.
