More Craigslist finds, two 1964 Cutlass project/parts cars

Well, I've got a couple more 1964's now. One Cutlass convertible and one 2 door hardtop. They're rough and may become parts cars but I want to clean them up and get a good look at them before making the final decision. The previous owner planned to use the hardtop as a parts car for the convertible, but they're both pretty rough. Both have the yellow on black California plates, the convert has been off the road since 1987, not sure on the hardtop. I've got another 1964 Cutlass convertible project car and if this one becomes a parts car I'll swap the power windows over. Winter here has been much worse than normal, so it may be a while before I get to them. But here's some photos to share with you all.

Then the hardtop, which is a rolling shell but had a bunch of parts in the trunk.

A couple more comments, the convert looks pretty complete under the hood. It sill has the water pump and radiator with the lower end on the drivers side. It looks bad, but isn't froze up. I got an extra set of #1 heads and 4bbl intake in the parts car trunk. Also a set of 4 belt pulleys and a tall oil fill tube. The previous owner must have had a California emissions engine that he took apart.

Nice finds, What do you think that coil looking thing is below the radiator support?

Great find John. How long before you have to find a larger property for your growing collection?

Scott, always fun to drag home dead cars. Project or parts, it's like Christmas getting new toys to play with

tru-blu, thanks for identifying the hubcaps in the backseat. I've got two of the single one, I need to do some research and find out if they are 1964's

Greg, its a transmission oil cooler. I've never seen one like it before either.

Pat, if I only had 20 acres in the country with a large pole barn. I'd really have a collection of Oldsmobile project and parts cars

Your wheelcover was the Deluxe offering for the 64 Olds A body. Also available on full size 64 Olds but with a different style plastic center.

Ted, if you want to invest in some land down here I'll help you look

Henry, thank you for identifying the wheel covers for me. I've not come across this style before.
