Welcome to the forum. Pertronix is the way to go, changed all my cars to electronic. Not sure where to pick up a rear bumper.

X2 on the electronic and welcome to the site. There are several choices with the Pertronix being the most popular for the stock distributor look.

Welcome to the site! Congrats on the new to you 1967 Cutlass, we would enjoy seeing photos if your able to take some and post them. There are several people with 1967's on the site, so as questions come up and/or you discover parts you need you'll be able to post them in the different catagories once you get out of "newbie" status. All the more reason to post photos and tell us more about your car and your plans for it. John

Finding a rear bumper shouldn't be tooo hard. Watch e-bay and you should easily find one. Do you need one with backup lights or without? Keep this in mind. I'm sure you can get one replated locally. Mine cost about $250 to replate. I've got one but it has a crack in it and would need some straightening and replating.

Keep in mind that if you change over to an HEI distributor you will have to get an aftermarket air cleaner housing. The stock air cleaner housing doesn't clear the large distributor cap on an HEI distributor. You can always get a stock air cleaner housing from a late 70s Oldsmobile but this might be a concern if you want the "stock" look.

Pertronix makes an excellent product, and it is reasonably priced.

about me =)

well thanks for all the input and the warm welcomes it really means a lot to me. I am from RIVERSIDE California I love cars all vehicles I can appreciate all work or originality to a vehicle I am a member of my church here in Riverside and I love to talk ...hahaha I am president and founder of a CHRISTIAN car club we host different events every year. The car club is a ministry and usually all our events are free (money wise) we don't charge any money for any event held and depending on the event it could range from canned goods to cotton perishables (sweat shirts-sox-T-shirts-beanees-gloves-sweat pants) etc. everything we do is to promote the word of GOD and help others in need. like I said before I was blessed with this vehicle and will use it to glorify GOD. its his gift to me and I am honored to have it and be a part of this oldss movement. I always wanted a classic vehicle but never wanted a chevy...hahah I am Mexican and that would be a big no no hahaha bad reputations out here for mexicans and there chevys and honestly i wanted something more originale"different" than all the others. well I will be quiet nowthanks again for letting me be a part of this forum
