Found a forged crank in a 68 Toro

I picked up a 68 toro a couple of days ago. To rusty to fix up so im parting it. Got alot of it stripped down today and was about to take the T/C bolts out. Decided to take a peek at the crank turned it over alittle and found a nice check mark notch at the end.

Its kinda odd though. The build date on the car is 12D/ last week of Dec in 67. The casting date on the block is 363 / dec 29th 67. They must of finished the car in Jan or something. Im sure others would know better on that one.

Thanks. Turns out the motor is not original to the car. It must be a 98 motor or something. Its really odd. Toro pan, intake, distributor, carb, manifolds, everything looks like its untouched. Who knows why.
