Cool stuff found at estate sale. Vintage Windbreakers!
Hi All
At an estate sale from a car guy who passed away I picked up several old windbreakers. I'm guessing they're from the late 1960's to early 1970's. What do you guys think? Do you recognize anything that helps date them?
The Hurst and Offenhauser are used and need washed, the others may be new.

The gold is what makes that Hurst jacket desirable and dates to late 60s- later ones were usually black. I'd guess based on the colors the rest do too.
I guarantee you'll find a Made In USA tag on each of them too.
You lookin' to sell any of 'em? I gots a Hurst/Olds and wear an X-Large...

Like everything else I drug them home because they were cool... I haven't thought about what I'd do with them.
The sizes vary from either medium or large, but I'd guess the previous owner was small and thin.
None of the tags say where their made... I guess it wasn't important back then!

Those are too cool, I think the newer Hurst stuff was lighter like said. I would say mid 60's to early 70's too.
I've seen those jackets around but never with the patches. The Hurst and Offy are probably company promo or sale merchandise, nice score.
A pic from my old Hurst catalogue of a young lady modeling a hat, only for scientificalous research.
It took me a great deal of time and studious ponderance but I just noticed that her shirt has the Hurst name and some other stuff on it too.

Boy those covers were super crudy ( the rust and grease was unreal).
Like I said in the Cardomain page, it was the first time, Katty Mettea, signed Oldsmobile parts!
Kathy knew who I was the second time she me, Sunday Oct 12 or 13th, 2008.
That time she sign my 1969 H/O model and I had her sign several picutres of my gold and red W-34 Toronados too!
Bob B (orignal owner of my red Toronado) and Rocketradier got some of those autographed Toronado photos for Christmas!

The unit is unbuilt, but the box is beat up, heck I only paid $5 fot it.
Anhyo, I drove to my friend house ( a WII vet), showed to Mr Sheppard the model, and nicely asked him sign the inside of the box.
You see, Jim was a Master Sgt for the Tuskegee Airman, it just so happens he worked on the P-51 Mustangs (and other Curtis aircraft), during WWII.
For some of you folks reading this thread, you may not know this, but Oldsmobile supplied some motor parts (crankshaft, connecting rods) for the P-51 Mustang.

No highjack percieved, in fact of anyone else has Oldsmobile windbreakers/jackets it would be fun to see what else is out there!
But Kurt... either you have a large family or you have some trade stock

Anywhere I can! Ebay, dealers, swapmeets, etc. I've been collecting Oldsmobilia for about 24 years now. I've lost count of how many Oldsmobile T-shirts I have. I know I went past 100 a good few years ago.
I've been accused of being a serious Olds collector. Insane is more like it.
