air cleaner fitment concerns for new 455 (488 stroker)

hello everyone
i am in the process of building new engine for my 1971 442 conv. still have orig. but its getting tired, and i don't want to kill it
i have a 455 siting at the machine shop, going with a stroked crank, forged pistons roller valve train, and some edelbrock heads . so on

here is my concern, i know new edelbrock preformer intake is taller than stock
( shaving takes away from performance)i would still want to run stock ram air set up
has anyone come up fit fix that still looks like stock set up.
thanks for the help
