1979 hurst olds headlight **** removal part 11
i have spent several hours for the last few nights trying to remove my headlight ****., with no success . I have seen photo of south and know where button is , but the switch itself is housed inside a plastic cover molded to dash and I cannot get to it . I have removed steering column trim and can see switch and get to it ,just can not get around plastic cover. I believe I can remove the two screws for switch itself, with this done will switch come out far enough to expose button., knowing that when **** is removed I can replace dash pad in five minutes , it has been a challenge not to get out the saw . HELP

Yes , you are correct. I did see the notch in the **** itself before and thought this must have something to do with removal. I used a small screw driver with slight pressure down and the **** itself came off without the stem . After I removed the dash pad ,I could clearly see switch itself and button , but would be impossible to get to from back as it is inclosed in a plastic sleeve attached to dash itself . Finally success with no damage and lesson learned thanks to all
