Harbor Freight succeeds in spite of themself

Got a Harbor Freight fender cover today. As a fender cover it would be the biggest piece of crap. Way too small & too short. However, its the perfect size to protect the radiator top plate while you are working under hood. Added bonus it has magnets across the top so it will stay put. Magnet side is towards the front of the car. $8 after coupon plus a free pack of crappy batteries

One thing you can say for Harbor Freight, they can come through in a pinch, especially if there is one located nearby...

$8.00, It cost more for a length of Vinyl here at our local Fabric land. Go figure. It certainly does the job.

I love it! We don't have Harbor Frieght up here but Princess Auto is a dead ringer. I am buying a degree wheel, magnetic base and dial indicator there since there are squat for options up here.

Yes it's shyt but they do serve a purpose in the "if I ever use it it's worth the $3" niche.

When I was on line two clowns were opining that sure Snap On or mac is better but not for the price difference

There's yer sign! Ignorance is pure bliss...

A general statement not geared towards you sir droptopron...I view it as its puttin money into pockets that it shouldn't be. Which allows their economy to thrive while ours dwindles. It wouldn't be so bad if the inferior junk didn't fall apart as I walk out of the establishment. It's a waste of resources for the planet too, no I dont drive a Prius, hug trees or need crisis counseling because Donald won.
Tarps and bungees are all I ever entered the s hole for. Now I dont even do that. Both last about 6 months. I have bungees that say USA on them that have to be 20 years old. I have ferreted out USA manufacturers for both tarps and bungees. So far they have lasted 2 years and are going strong. If one took the time to look there is USA made product out there that is comparable....Armstrong, Proto some Stanely etc...Its up to us to do a polar shift in our thinking to bring it back to the USA. Hit harborjunk in the wallet is how I do it.

Ron, that's cool that the fender covers have a use. I've bought great tools from HF (the brake and steering wheel service kits) and I've bought junk (the master cylinder bleeding pump).

Very interesting on this - a few years ago I was buying 19" tires for my wife's SUV from Mavis. I asked what the COO was & the sales guy responds USA (Cooper). I sign off on the purchase. Afterwards the guy asked me what I would have done if he said China or Korea. I told him for $1K I wouldn't have bought them. He said 1 in 100 customers ask where they are made.
