Grease Fittings
First of all, Happy 4th of July to week to everyone! Second, I would like to grease up the suspension points on my 1970 Cutlass. What size is the standard factory fitting and what type of grease should be used? I have some new wheel bearing stuff but not sure if this will goof up anything. Thanks and have a safe holiday eveyone. Al

Wheel bearing grease is usually too thick to push through a grease gun into suspension joints. Use a regular petroleum based chassis grease to ensure some compatibility with what most shops use. Not sure what brands are better than others...
Just get a cartridge size that fits your gun.
Your '70 has 11 places in the front end to grease if i remember right and you are using factory type parts on it...

As a quick aside, if your grease fittings won't accept any grease (you'll know right away, believe me) they unscrew and can be replaced; usually found at your local reputable parts house supplier. It' s hard to follow up Rob's response, 'cause he's always so darned thorough!
