Identifying 1970 Radiator Supports

Does anyone know how many different Radiator Supports there were in 1970?....... i.e., Is a 442 Radiator Support a different Part #, or is it different in some way from a Cutlass S or Supreme, etc.?....and are 1970 - 1971 - 1972 Radiator Supports different in some way by year, or Do they have different Part #'s stamped into them?

Core supports are different for all three years and have different part numbers. 1970 is unique for at least the hood latch and grill mounting and will not work for 1971 or 72.

1971 and 72 are quite similar but have important difference considering the grills.

It's best seen in photos that point out the difference.

There was only one P/N core support for the Olds A-body cars in each year. They are different every year, but the same within a model year.

Joe, I had noticed in the 1970 Assembly Manual that there were a couple of different numbers showing for the Radiator Support "Assembly." (i.e., 405125 for C60, Y72 and V01 + 405119 for Std.). Now, with your information, I'm thinking that the only difference between the two numbers is a different size pair of Radiator Saddle Brackets to hold the Radiator to the Support + maybe? some other small changes (misc. drilled holes, etc.??.............i.e., with the actual Radiator Support itself being the same Part between the 2 different "Assembly" Numbers? Is this correct?

Good point, thanks for catching that. The differences are the brackets welded on for the radiator. Four row radiators have wider brackets, so yeah that assembly has a different part number. The brackets are spot welded to the core support. Sorry I should have clarified that.

Also, some have 2 tabs welded to the bottom of the core support for a fan shroud provision while the ones built without a fan shroud do not. I believe this is consistent with 3 core vs 4 core radiators.
