1992 Oldsmobile Toronado Selling Below Blue Book
I am selling a 1992 Toronado. It has 97,000 miles on the odometer. I am selling it for 1500-1800. Kelly Blue book rates it at 2,080 dollars. The body and interior is in great condition and there are no other known issues other than the engine needing new head gaskets. I have invested a little money into the car. You will get the floor mats, new GM stereo, the keyless remote and new items listed below. All the electronics work. The air conditioner works. I have new fuel lines and brake lines installed. I am also including another steering wheel with airbag and steering wheel controls in working order. The car still starts. The car passed emissions and state inspection in January 2007. The state registration is good until December. The state inspection is good until the end of January 2008. Please respond if interested.
List of items to repaired:
1. The head gasket replacement is needed
2. The door chimes do not chime.
You can buy it and repair the car or buy the whole thing as a parts car. You are responsible for shipping in and out of state.
I am selling it as is. Price is negotiable.
List of new items:
new fuel lines
new fuel filter
new engine belt
new brake lines
new rear brakes
excellent GM stereo from 1992 Toronado
new floor mats
fixed the black plastic trim on the interior
changed the warning lights to decent ones
cleaned trunk
reprogrammed remote to work with car
fixed interior lights with new sensor to work at dark
steering wheel needs to be installed( full functioning, painted to match interior
new air filter
changed all the fuses
new power steering fluid
cleaned leather interior twice and shined it up.
No cracks in the interior
fixed door lights
new battery
fixed black trim around windows.
change bulbs in taillights
changed bulb under hood
change bulb in trunk so that it will illuminate when trunk is open

I came home to show the Toronado. I had a potential buyer. He came and looked at the car and drove it. He was impressed. He brought his girlfriend and his mother. He had emailed me today. I met him in my driveway after work. He said and his mother said they noticed the Toronado and looked at it. He was like you did a lot of work on this car. He connected some vacuum hose and all that rough idle sound it had when it starts and drives was gone. It sounds better. I took his drivers license and mother as hostage and I let him drive the car. He drove it with his girlfriend. He was like wow! That car is nice. He was shocked at the luxury features too. His mother was the one who noticed. She stopped by the other day and looked at it. They were like wow everything works. They said your cars are in great shape!! He said he would call to let me know later. They left I put the signs back on the car.
He offered a fair price too.

Even if he does not, I wanted to show that a mechanic even looked at it and drove it to show that it is worth what I am asking. He was wanting to pay the price I was was asking which is higher. So the car is still for sale until I get some one who commits to buying it.
