1974 OLDS OMEGA IN AMAZING SHAPE! MI 40,000 miles
I have a orginal car from CO located in MI 40,000 miles and nothing been done to it. It drives perfect, starts everytime... powerful has the 350 rocket. Looking for ideas what to sell it for... or offers. Still smells new too! 2 door with white top and white bench seats. Drivin by my grandma... I owned this car for eight years and just don't drive it enough.

That is a pretty car! I like the vinyl top too. It is interesting that it is only around the front side of the roof. I guess that was an option in the 70s.
I have no idea what you should ask for a car like that. Using the WAG Therom I would guess maybe $8,000...

It does look like a very nice car but you have to remember how few people are going to be interested in an Omega. I would find a good deal on some used tires / wheels in some sort of tasteful popular design. TT2s, cragar SS, Welds ect. It will make a huge eyeball difference to someone that might not have given the car a 2nd look. My experience that is a 3000-3500 car as is and a 5000-5500.00 car with the right tire / wheel combo.

Nice car! You will NEVER be able to find another one in that shape and family history for what you could get for it for so I would just keep it if you can. I'm with Richard, a nice wheel and tire package, maybe dual exhaust, and have fun with it. (Of course keeping the original parts). JMO.

Cool car, for a Nova.
I would get some Olds rally wheels if they fit, even Chebby or Poncho rallys keep it Oldsmobile preferably, and keep the whitewalls. I like it with the wheel covers my own self.
I would look into having those paint scratches touched up by a good bodyman/painter, keep as much of the original paint as possible on a survivor car.
Might be tough if it's metallic but even a little bit off is better than those scuffs.
Erik from the previous post would know if it's possible.

The Old Cars Price Guide lists the value of a '74 Omega 2-door coupe in #3 condition (car show condition but not showroom condition) at $2790. In #2 condition (showroom condition), the value is $4340. I'm guessing this is somewhere in between these given the one-owner-ness and low mileage. But, as was pointed out, it is an Omega, and Omegas don't command the attention and desirability of other Oldsmobiles from that era no matter how good the condition of any individual one is. According to the OCPG, the value of these top out at about $6000 in #1 condition (better than showroom new and not driven). Remember, these are just very average values, but they can give you some idea of the market. Put $10,000 on as a price, and you'll probably have it in your driveway for a while. Put $4000 on it, and it might be gone tomorrow. You might stick $5000 or $5500 as an asking price on a sign, put the sign in the front window, park the car at the side of the road outside your house, and see what happens.
The base of price of this car in 1974 was $2763. There were 27,075 1974 Omega 2-door coupes made, along with 12,449 2-door hatchbacks and 10,756 4-door sedans.

Thanks everyone!
So do I have any takers?
Thanks for the input... its hard to figure out what they go for now a days....
I know I don't want to sell it but I drive a 74 Z 4sp... ( way more fun) and this one just sits around taking up room... why horde? But I do agree in the keeping it around. Life is short!
Oh theres no paint missing its actually the glue from the strip that I took off. I tried to get that 3M rubber wheel to take it off but the local body guy said it was prob going to mess up the paint? ANY THOUGHTS?
Its original! Hell it even has the X from the factory still on the head!!
THANKS! FROM PAW PAW MI

I see that you are in Paw Paw from your sign off, take it to the Gilmore Car Museum's spring dust off May 23rd and slap a for sale sign in it. If that don't work, there's Homecoming in Lansing, June 19th.
