Power Polisher
#2
No, but you need a rotary polisher that will produce about 3500 RPM. If you are not experianced using this type buffers, start out with something like Mc Guires Ultimate Polish. Dab on a small amount of polish on half of a panel, tilt the buffer at about 20 degree angle and let the polishing be done with the edges on the lower edges of the tilt(don't hold flat and do not push your weight onto the buffer) .Let the buffer do the work! When buffing side surfaces, make sure the cord is lower than the buffer pad, otherwise the cord will tangle around the buffer head doing 3500 RPM's (and result in breaking a bone or throwing you to the floor ) unless you can manage to turn it loose.Never let the buffer pad directly touch sharp edges.Go carefully and it should do fine.when you achieve the look you want, then hand wax with any 100% Carnuba wax(such as McGuires Ultimate or Mothers Gold. I Would also recommend a wool Pad. Good luck, Larry
