Pontiac Qjet on 455 Toronado??

hi there,

are there any problems with putting a pontiac q-jet (#7044262) on a 455 1970 olds toro GT ??

That's a 1974 carb and may be jetted a little leaner than the original, but if all the linkages and choke connect properly, it will work. You may even see a slight improvement in gas mileage.

I like the picture. Toro looks menacing in it!

thx ....to me it looks more like a spaceship ..*swooosh*

so i could expect a little less performance?

Any difference in performance is going to be undetectable with a "butt dyno."

I suggest you rebuild the carburetor, install it, and set it properly. You will be very happy with the results.
