Edelbrock Torker, your thoughts?

Found a torker for cheap for a stock 455, will this be a good setup for the olds along with a quadrajet? Also what quadrajet should go with the Torker?

I wouldn't recommend using a torker on a stock 455. Performer would be a better choice. Your stock carb would be fine.

My 455 came with the Torker, and edelbrock carb. What do I need to do to get performance out of it since it doesnt work with a stock engine setup? Would a cam be enough? or do I need to dig into the valvetrain?

A four barrel Q-jet would work great with it, or a aftermarket carb. 750cfm with vacuum secondaries.

To get the most out of it. You would need cam, stall converter, and gears. To make it work the best. The Torker is made to work with a power band starting at 2,500 rpm.
