I picked up this car in Puyallup Washington. It ran and drove and has a 65 425 in it. It was originally owned by a Navy officer here in the north west. The remnants of the base parking sticker is still on the bumper. The car is Royal Mist in colour with a specially ordered sterling blue interior. This combination looks awesome! I can't wait to see it all refreshed. The original owner retired to Arizona and left the car with his long time mechanic. The guy I bought it from shared the same mechanic, saw the car and bought it. He did nothing with it and stored it for about 12 years in his dry, concrete floored barn. In essence I really bought it from the original owner!
The car needs a lot of work. Complete floors, trunk, d.s. inner wheelhouse plus a few body parts. Namely a p.s. fender, decklid and maybe a d.s. fender. AND, there is a giant ripple just behind d.s. wheel arch and filler around the tail light opening. Looks like the car was tagged from behind. It was poorly resprayed once many moons ago. The body and paint man (I use those terms loosely) really didn't want to do any picking ang filing. He yanked out the dents ham fisted with a dent puller and loaded 60 lbs of bondo over it. I will make it right.
I would like to sell this one to make some space for the wagon resto. Read more ยป
