69 Cutlass S convertible tires and wheels
I’m doing a frame off and I’m getting ready to buy tires and wheels.
It looks like my car came with 14”x7” on back and 14”x6” on the front.
Is there a problem with putting the same size all around?
maybe putting 14”x7” all around?

My only problem with 14X7 on the front for my '68 4-4-2 convertible with stock SSI wheels was that the inside of the tires rubbed on the front part of the frame if the steering wheel was put over hard right (rubbed on the driver side forward) or hard left (rubbed on the passenger side forward). I just chose to not put the wheel over hard to get around that.

No car ever came from Oldsmobile with different size wheels. The factory wheels on a 1969 were 14x6. The correct wheel size depends on the tires you plan to run. Wider tires need wider wheels to avoid distorting the sidewalls.

14 X 6 all around. 215-70-14s. I went with period correct style. If my car was nicer, I would consider after market 15" or larger SSI's. Personally I like the bolt on vs the snap on center caps on SSII's.
