Who makes the best trim rings

What condition are you looking for - driver quality , local car show, or concours ? I have a set of driver quality SSIII wheels with bezels and 2 7/8 deep trim rings that I am willing to part with. Pick up only, located near Grand Rapids MI. Email me @ rfrafm442@gmail.com for more information. I apologize in advance if this is against forum rules

From what I have been able to find, originals without dents or rash are rare and mega $. NOS GM are mega mega $$. Repops are $125 a set. Trouble is, some sets are chrome not stainless. Some don't have the correct shape outer face. Some aren't wide enough, and some don't have correct clips.

I think you may find that all the repro rings are shinier/"slicker" than an original/NOS SSI/II trim rings. The originals have what looks like a subtle "brushed"/crosshatch pattern on the surface of the stainless. I'm not referring to the earlier (68?/69?) factory rings that had a very obvious brushed finish.....'70 and later are different. I just don't think that the repro rings really duplicate this "look" exactly. Then again, maybe someone has matched that look.....I don't know 100%.
EDIT: The original rings don't technically have a "crosshatch" brushed pattern like a honed cylinder wall....they have the brush marks angling ONE way around the ring surface. Used "crosshatch" earlier for lack of a better way to describe the finish/look.
