Tire size question for a 76 Cutlass

Hello all,
I am wondering what are the widest tires you can fit on a 76 Cutlass without worrying about rubbing? The car has the standard 15-inch Olds Rally rims most of them came with. Right now it has 215/75/R15s but I am looking at maybe a set of Cooper Cobras or something similar

Thanks for the help.

Not sure you'll get a definite answer here on this site. Seems to mostly be 72 and older expertise. Back in the day I ran 235-60-15's on my Supreme.

You might have better luck on http://www.73-77olds.com/forums/

225-70-15 was a common tire size in that era. I don’t know the maximum size that will fit, though.
