Switching to SSI's, best way?

I've decided to switch over to SS1's from current SS2 with 235-60-14 (too short IMO). Should I bother trying to find a decent set of 14x7's or go right to repro wheels? If i go that route, I imagine I should go with 15" for better tire selection? This is on a 71 Cutlass driver.
Thanks

The only 14" tires that are close to the right diameter are 225/70-14s. There are no 14" 60-series tires that are anywhere near the correct diameter. Alternately, 15" wheels are the only way to go today. Use 235/60-15s or 255/60-15s.

I took a set of 14" SS1 wheels, and had them "re-hooped" into 15".

A company in California did them:

Rally America.

I found a set of SS1s w/ really good tires on them for $350. Quick cleanup, respray and it was an easy swap.
