It seems per tire rack.
hankook is 35 bucks cheaper than cooper and almost 80 bucks less than the BFG 255/60/15
the cooper and bfg list 400 tread rating, the hankook it is 680 All three have A rating for Traction,
The Cooper and BFg are rated b for temp , hankook it is Rated A
Has anyone use hankook?
My cutlass needs tires, as the belts are failing and starting to come out the sidewall one strain at a time.

I've got Hankooks on my 1985 Delta 88s, mainly because they are the only option in a whitewall. They absolutely suck for traction in the wet. Otherwise, no issues.
My daily driver came w hankooks on it. 37k miles later my only observation is snow traction isnt as good as some tires, but they are wearing nicely
and are still smooth at 75 mph. Tires were rotated. Front to rear every 10k (non directional tires)
Several years ago I bought some Hankook tires and was surprised to see that the tread was much narrower than the same size tires they were replacing. I posted about it in the thread below. So be sure to check the specs for the tires you are looking at to make sure they meet your requirements.
Take a look at the 724 specs on their web site. I just bought a couple 724s in 205-75-15 for trailer tires and was surprised to see how much narrower the tread was than the existing tires. I checked their web site and sure enough, the listed tread width is nearly 2" narrower than the BFG tires currently on the trailer. This doesn't bother me for a trailer, but on my car I would really not like it.

The section width (the 205 number) is measured across the widest part of the tire, which is where the sidewalls bulge outward, NOT across the tread. Look at the actual tire specs on the Hankook web site - compare the 724 specs to the 725 and 727 specs and you'll see the difference in tread width with the higher performance (more expensive) tires.
I have them on my 2012 Expedition and have been pleased with them. Traction in the snow in Texas is not a problem since it never snows. I have not noticed a problem in the rain.

Mine are the Optimo H724. I don't know if rubber compound or wet traction differs with tire model.
I have KUMHO ECSTA ASX Good wet traction. And are like glue on a dry road.Had Goodyear Eagle GT, almost took out my mailbox on my wet street. The fronts are with 225/50R17 and the rears are 255/50R17(28'' tall) tires.
Bought a new truck last year, came with Hankook tires, doing well after 10k, good mileage, good in rain, decent in snow for a highway tire. Good feedback from owners with more mileage.
