Good Quality Factory Repro SS1 Center Caps...
just throwing this out there for those who are looking for quality center caps for their SS1 wheels. i just finished cleaning & painting my original 40+ year old SS1's. over all i'm pleased with how they turned out. i looked for OEM center caps for a while & found this guy on 3bay. maybe a little pricey but the caps are heavy & good quality. they came w/ the correct 5 finger retainer & mounting bolts. i used blue loctite # 243 on bolt threads prior to installing. 4 center caps were about $140 shipped here's his info

Either those were NOS or Thornton is reproducing them now - it's nice to see that they have correct raised lip where they mount. For years, the repros did not - maybe they still don't if yours were NOS. Thornton reproduces several rare parts - these caps are probably the least expensive thing they have in their arsenal. ; )
