Factory Wheel?

Were these wheels ever a factory option on anything? They are 15 X 7 with chrome inside but the outer lip is painted silver with the trim ring. Strange although I think I've seen them before but just wondering if this was a factory option or somebody's creation? Thanks!

IIRC that was for the 86-88 G Body.

The center cap with that rocket was never used on the 1980s cars, however. By then the rocket background was rectangular.

So, it sounds like the caps aren't original to the rims. Any idea on the value for a set of these? They're all straight, nice shape and backs are rust free. Thanks!

I wouldn't worry much about the center cap. The wheel is the important part. If you like the style of the cap, even better. Those are commonly re-popped for around 50.00/cap

Some of the guys on the site have opted for powder coating their wheels instead of paint/trim rings. I checked into powder coating locally and they can do a finish that's darn near chrome for a lot less bucks. So, it really comes down to what you want your car to look like.

EDIT: cost per wheel? Since these are the 15", they likely will go for more $$. I'd pay around 25-30 here for them at the boneyard

I thought the 80's style were chrome out to edge with no trim ring?
