I wanted to install some baby moon caps on a stock gbody 14x6 wheel ( circa 1978 from ). I have the 4 nub style. Problem is, 2 of the nubs ( opposite of one another ) measure a shorter distance than the other 2 nubs. This seems to me like you'd never get a baby moon to fit as it would only contact 2 of the nubs.
Hard to see, but I'm providing a pic of the wheel. You can visibly see the nubs are different.
Please do. I installed the baby moon covers, you mean the 70 to 72 dog dish caps, correct? I put them on a spare steel rim that came with my 88. I also found out the difference between a drum brake and disk brake 14" steel wheel when put on my 88, made some terrible noise hitting the control arm and rotor dust shield. Show us some pics.

Am having trouble picturing this and would like to see better photo(s). If the nubs are on the outer edge of a circle, they all should be equidistant from the center.

I agree. The nubs should be equidistant. I used to pop baby moons on those rims all the time in the 60's.
I could of sworn I provided a pic in my original post but it ain't there now. In my pic it shows I have the 4 nub wheel. 2 of those nubs are small and the other 2 big. The small nubs measured a longer distance between them than the bigger nubs.
Visibly, the smaller nubs even looked like they stuck out more. I will fully admit though, I did not measure them very accurately. It was late, I did a quicky measurement, then I posted here. I could be fully mistaken about the distance.
As of now, I just removed the plastic trim ring on the stock hubcaps and popped em back on. They kinda have that baby moon look though it's color coded to the car.
