70 Cutlass 15 inch wheels & trim rings
I have a question about 15 inch trim rings. I actually did a search before I started a new thread, but didn't find all the answers to my questions. A brief background, I am putting new rubber on my 70 Cutlass convertible as the 14 inch Goodyears on the car now are approaching 15 years old. I have a set of 15 inch SSII bolt on center cap factory wheels that will be going on the Cutlass. First of all, any recommendations for trim rings? It looks like Fusick has a decent set. I know I can get originals one at a time, on eBay but I don't think I can wait that long! If not Fusick then any other choices?
Second, I will be installing a set of BFG's. My Goodyears I have now are P225-70R14 which is a 26.5" diameter tire. I was thinking of a P235-60R15. That matches the Goodyear (within a 1/2") and will keep my speedometer reading about the same. Any benefit to going with a P235-70R15? Will that size tire have any clearance issues? Not really looking for a race car look, that's what my 75 Cutlass is for!
Thanks in advance for the advice!

A few of us have the same set up. If you go to my info and search for threads I have started you will see multiple threads on this topic. It is very hard to find what was "original" In the end I found some inexpensive ones on ebay that came darn close if not exactly to the originals.
In the end its tough to tell the difference unless you get some that are way different.
As for tires I would stick with the 235/70/15 for the front and go with 255/60/15 for the back. You can use 255/60 all around but they tend to rub when you locked one way or the other.
