68-72 wheel cap bolts

Hi all,

Yesterday, one of the wheel cap bolts on my 72 cutlass was sheared while driving leading me to discover another one was missing from the same rim.

I found the correct bolts to be the Dorman 13836 bolts (5/16), and before I ordered a seemingly expensive set online, I was wondering if anyone has found an adequate standard bolt that can be purchased locally.

Thanks for reading

About the only difference you'll find between the ones you can get at Lowe's (link below) and the original bolt is the slot in the head. And these are probably not quite as good of metal. But unless you're taking the tire off, you shouldn't notice that. But these should work. I used this size on my 71 442 bolt on caps. No problemo. Even comes in a pack of 50 so you can do to the spare and another entire car and its spare too!!! Around $6 plus tax.
