4 lug wheels.

Hey all. I'm new to the site so it might have already been talked about. I have a 1963 Oldsmobile F85 that was a barn find. Everything is original with 38k miles. I'm not a fan of the 4 lug wheels with caps. Anyone find any good wheels or would it be better to change over to 5 lug?

Welcome. The 4 x 4.5" bolt pattern was also used on 1960s-vintage six cylinder Mustangs, Comets, and Falcons. Also on the early Datsun Z-cars, the early RX-7, and a host of other RWD cars. I got these vintage slot mags from an early Mustang. They're 14x5.5" wheels. I just scored a second set at Spring Carlisle earlier this year.

That's the NV car. The yellow one is the SJ car.

Early Chevy IIs? I seem to remember my dad put some 4-bolt takeoffs with Cinturatos from an early '70s 240Z on his '62 Nova.

Yes, apparently they did also, at least on the four cylinder cars.

You want near zero offset. That centers the tire in/out over the wheel mounting flange on the axle.
