Was wondering, how could I check if I have the correct steel wheels for this car i am buying.
Supposed to be original steel wheels.
I did some quick research is XT for 1970 steel wheels and is it found by the valve thanks!
Should be a page in either the PIM or CSM...been awhile so I don't recall which book. Most are XT coded but you may have IF or a third (starts with a U, IIRC). The dates should also help. To the untrained eye, they'll look the same.
You could have XT's Or IF's(at the valve stem location). These also have dates stamped into them at the valve stem local to further determine if they are original
OK, they are XT 14 by sevens. What is
1-9-10 for the date???
[img alt="So they are XT the date says 1-9-10. ?

ok sounds good guys so can these be the originals? the blue tag in my door jam is gone so, I cannot see the build date.
And i am having a hard time getting the back seat to find a build sheet hopefully.
getting older sucks. i might have to remove the buckets to do it. need more room to pop the seat up and out.
