18x9 on '76 Olds Custom Cruiser?

Hello all,

A mentioned in the title would these fit without rubbing the rear fenderskirts?
I am looking at some Torq Thrusts with 5.25 backspacing and offset 6.
The original tires were LR78x15 which would translate to 235/75-15 on 6 or 7 inch rim, I would like to have 255/55-18 on 9 inch rim to fill out the fenders a little bit more.

Thanks in advance!

Those look good on the wagon. From that picture, I would not have guess they were 18" wheels. I guess the car is so big, the wheels look smaller.

Thanks guys, I had 20's on my Impala with 275/35 tires but I found the sidewalk kerbstones didn't like them with low profile tires.
18's look really purdy with the 255/55 on them, and I hope they will stay unscratched for a while.
We here in Holland can only be jealous of your parking spaces
