17" wheel question for 71 cutlass S

Hi everyone,
I am planning to buy 17" s for my cutlass.
i want to buy 7" for front and 8" for the back.
OPGI suggests....

torq trust II
(A) 17 x 7 (4 BS) 0 offset
(A) 17 x 8 (4-3/4 BS) +8 mm offset (didn't understand why +8mm offset)

what do you think of this values? does it fit my cutlass.
i am planning them to be around
225/55/17
255/50/17

but these are just ideas for the moment.
since i live in turkey, i have no chance to return the wheels once i import them..

after buying the wheels, i'll be looking for tires..
there is not much variety for 15" tires so 17" is a necessity for me..
thanks for your answers.

I have 17's 275/40/17 on the rear and 245/40/17 in the front. I am not sure of my offset but the fit is good...

Good luck with your purchase

Call Jon @ Driverzinc for specs and the best prices.

He knew exactly what I needed when I ordered my Foose Legends from him.
Most of the pro-touring guys use him on the various boards.
Lateral-G.net, Pro-touring.com, Nastyz28.com, etc

I personally don't recall an 8mm offset myself, and I have a 70.
I put 17's up front and 18's in the rear.
