Post 16" rims

Will 16"rims fit on a "73" cutlass? What tire size would you recommend for general street driving? Thanks for your input. Skip

Yes they will fit, you can make up to 20" wheels fit easily, but in my opinion they start looking too big over 18" unless your car is drastically lowered.

Why do you want 16's if I may ask? Terrible tire selection, I'd suggest 17 or 18 for more options.

255/50/17 is a nice size that should fit on the front with proper offset wheels. 27" tall tire so it will fill up the wheel wells nice without needing to be lowered much.

Fyi

16" rims are going the way of 14" rims with rapidly diminishing tire selection. Stick with 15" & 17" inch rims.
