15x4 or 15x7 Fronts - 72 442

Between a 15x4 and a 15x7 front rims on a 72 442 convertible. Which has the better look?

How much handling performance is lost due to going from a 15x7 to a 15x4 rim? Less tire width contact on the ground with the 15x4 tires.

15 X 7 would look far better, unless you're looking for an '80s-era Pro Stock look. How much handling do you lose with a 15 X 4? Most of it.

I kind of figured that might be the case with 15x4 rims. With a 72 convertible weighing 4,000lbs, the narrow 15x4 fronts probably can't handle the weight of the vehicle going through turns, so it will probably plow through the turns. Overwhelming the narrow width tires.

15x4s are good for the straight 1/4 mile track but they probably stink in driving on the street and handling. I even read that braking distance increases with narrower front tires.
