I don't think Motor Wheel ever built SS-1's on a 15" platform for Olds. However, thepartsplaceinc on fleabay has a repro set of 15's in aluminum for $499 + $99 ship. The auction # is 271218876760. They look very nice and come with caps and nuts as well.

Ya Id like to find some SS2s in 15" with the bolt ons. Rare, as they were only produced in 73-74. I need tires and 235x14" are no longer made. So its time to step up to 15s Wheel Vintiques through Summit, as mentioned, has the wheels.

They are clear coated aluminum. They weren't polished before coating.

There are a few places that will make a 15" wheel using the center sections from your 14" wheels. One of my longer range plans is to have some wider (15x9 or 15x10) wheels made for the rear using my old wheels.

When you say using the center sections from my 14" wheels im not sure what youre talking about. If i understand correctly the 14" SS1's have a different bolt pattern than those of a 15" SS1? So if i was to buy a set of 15" SS1's they would not fit my stock hub/bolt pattern? If thats the case how would i make them fit?

A steel wheel is made in 2 pieces, the outer rim shell or hoop and center stamped section that is welded into the shell. They make blank aftermarket rim shells in various sizes with no center section so you can have the full stamped center section cut out of your 14" wheels and have them welded into, in this case, a 15x7 rim shell. Aftermarket rim shells are usually made in 15x5, 15x6, 15x7, 15x8 and some even carry 15x10. I have seen other sizes like 15x7 made but they are custom and cost much more. I have had 15x8 SSI's made, black with satin spokes like factory, not all chrome, and they are on the rear of my 70 W-31 Wagon. I also have 15x8 and 15 x 10 all chrome SSIII's. Custom made wheels are not cheap but are worth it to get the look that I want

so youre saying that the center stamped part of the online 15 inchers will not fit my original bolt pattern that was designated for the 14's? And that to do that i will need to change the center stamp? or buy a "shell"?

No, I did not say that. The 15" aftermarket SSI wheels have the same center and bolt pattern as your factory wheels and will bolt directly onto your car with no mods at all. Just buy the aftermarket wheels or find somebody with a set and you are good to go.
